In a May 2008 Money Magazine/CNN report series, the nationwide implosion of home prices was characterized as being nowhere near over.

In fact, 75 of the nation's top 100 cities are expected to see a drop in home prices over the next 12 months.

One notable exception - McAllen, TX.

In the same mentioned report, McAllen home values are anticipated to grow by 4% by May 2009 and 23.3% over the next  five years.
